Wikipedia defines a blog (a truncation of the expression weblog) as "a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete entries ("posts") typically displayed in reverse chronological order (the most recent post appears first)."
I never thought I'd start one - however, I find that there are certain things that I would like saved for future reference which I would prefer is always accessible on the web, as opposed to on a personal cloud or service.
Consequently, welcome to my blog "Lest I Forget".
Choosing Ghost as the platform to publish the blog was a no-brainer: I recently started using Day One as a journaling tool, and became very comfortable with the minimalism and quickness of Markdown. I have to say, I am not disappointed so far.
The next few posts will likely look at DigitalOcean setup using the one-click "application" installation. It allows one to create a droplet with Ghost pre-installed, running and ready to go with very little effort.
